It
is our desire that Camp Brosend maintain an atmosphere
where each camper has the opportunity to accept Christ as his/her
personal Savior; to have fun; and to learn and grow spiritually,
physically, and mentally. Campers and staff are expected to conduct
themselves in a manner that encourages these objectives:
1. Campers
and staff members will
be under the direct supervision of the program assistant/camp guide and
are expected to abide by the schedule unless excused.
2. Every
person is expected to
conduct himself in a Christian manner at all times.
3. Campers
and staff members can only leave the camp with the program
assistant/camp guide's permission. Campers
must have written permission from parents/guardians to leave grounds
and must follow all check out/check in procedures. Leaving
the camp grounds without written permission warrants immediate
dismissal from the camp.
4.
Vehicles
driven by campers will be parked in
designated areas and the keys turned in at the camp office for
safekeeping while camp is in session.
5. The
possession and use of
tobacco, alcohol, illegal drugs, weapons, or fireworks in any form are
prohibited on the camp grounds.
6. Sickness
or injury must be reported to the camp nurse immediately. All
medications are to be turned in to the camp nurse in their
original containers with their
original prescription upon arrival
(including Aspirin, Tylenol, etc.).
7. Public
display of affection is discouraged. Hand-holding
is permitted.
After dark,
everyone is to
stay within the road and in lighted areas only.
8. Radios,
cell
phones, beepers, mp3 players/ipods, CD players, TVs, video games, pets,
shaving cream, silly string, super soakers/water cannons, candy, gum,
food, and drinks are to be left at home.
9. Clothing: Modesty
and decency must prevail. Short
shorts, bare midriff, spaghetti straps, or revealing clothing is
prohibited. One
piece swimsuits (no
cut-outs) are to be worn with cover-ups to and from the swimming area. Shirts
and shoes must be worn at all times while
outside the cabins.
10. The
telephone may only be used with the counselor’s and camp
guide’s permission.
11. Food
and
drink are to be kept outside of the cabins.
12. Campers
are permitted near the lake or in the woods only with counselor
supervision.
13. Campers
and their parents/guardians will be held responsible for any
unnecessary damage to camp property.
Destruction
of camp property warrants immediate dismissal from the camp.
Anyone
not willing to abide by the above rules
will be asked to leave the camp.
